Now for something with more direct interest to Althaven: Wetpaint this company has just released a friendly user-editable wikis , They went beta March 6

I took the tour, the interface is clean ala google/ikea. The nav and tagging system is simple, it features "cute" graphical toolbars for creation and editing.

The initial offering has six pre-seeded community wikis, with subjects ranging from light to serious.

Note: While users can't create their own wikis they can add pages to the existing categories.

Creating your own forum won't be available until Wetpaint has finihed data gathering and analysis on how people are using the initial wikis.

I think that's a mistake and gives us a window. Also no Fu that I've found (but I haven't looked at it in depth yet.)

Spent the day on the slopes yesterday and am amazingly still alive and I'm writing this from a hotel lobby in Vale, for the time being life is good.

I may have a chance to talk to someone heavily involved with the development of Linkedin in the next couple of weeks, any questions any Havenites would like asked? By the way Linkedin is now profitable as of the end of Feb. 06.

G-Mail Drive - Free Space

Talked to paul this afternoon and told him I'd post this. Anita and I've been playing a GMail Drive and it seems to work well as a shared file space. (we're running broadband over wireless B so 11 mbs)

This one has the advantage of showing up as a folder that you can drop and drag files to as apposed to the Firefox drive that requires a browser.
